01.

The British Royal Family is an indispensable point of reference when talking about Joseph Perrier. The Maison’s Champagne is famous for being named “Cuvée Royal” after Queen Victoria and King Edward VII, who favored it.

02.

In 1862, a journalist for L’Illustration called it “one of the most interesting houses in the Champagne region. In 1878, Joseph Perrier was awarded the Gold Medal at the Universal Exposition in Paris. This shows that the Maison has long been uncompromising in the quality of its Champagne.

03.

The Maison’s cellars are known as the 4th century Gallo-Roman cellars, which were Roman quarries, an ideal environment for Champagne, known as “freshness and darkness”. 3km long, the vast cellars are believed to have been dug into the ancient Gallo-Roman chalk on the hillside, and are unique in that they are not underground, but above ground.

04.

Joseph Perrier owns 23 hectares of vineyards mainly in the hills of Verneuil on the banks of the Marne. The grapes are still handpicked and handled with the utmost care, using small baskets. It should also be noted that the vineyard is protected by a natural approach as much as possible, with grassy paths between the rows of vines and watering to prevent frost.

05.

The cuvée we are offering in plans that include Champagne is the “La Côte à Bras Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature 2014”. This is a Champagne from a historic parcel of Côte à Bras inherited by the family. This is one of the best bottles in “Joseph Perrier”, made from 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard plot in the Cumières. As the name suggests, this is a tense Champagne with no dosage at all, showing the elegance and finesse of the house. We invite you to enjoy the supreme taste of this treasure in a special room.
