01.

Champagne Maison Lallier was established in 1906 in the village of Aÿ, one of the Grand Crus of Champagne. Since its establishment, it has been known as a long-established Champagne Maison that continues to share the good traditions of Champagne with the world.
The village of Aÿ, which Lallier cherishes, is said to be the most sacred place for Pinot Noir in the Champagne region. Naturally, they grow Pinot Noir with great care, but surprisingly, they also grow Chardonnay in the same village. Because of our knowledge of the village of Aÿ, it is also typical of Lallier that we do not forget to take on new challenges.

02.

Lallier’s only rule is to observe the vineyard and grapes closely, and to bring out the best of the grapes. The wine is fresh and pure, so dosage is kept to a minimum. Lallier’s quality is supported by its style of long aging. Even non-vintage wines must be aged for at least three years, longer than the legal requirement for Champagne.

03.

The Maison values craftsmanship, authenticity, and “nature”. The founder, René Lallier, was committed to environmental conservation, and today’s Lallier is also committed to sustainable viticulture. The idea that great Champagne is a gift of nature and that humans should continue to coexist with nature is another appealing aspect of Lallier.

04.

The craftsmanship of Lallier is evident in its haute couture Champagne making. Fermentation is carried out while carefully assessing the individuality of each plot of grapes in the vineyard, and the balance of malolactic fermentation, etc., is adjusted depending on the vintage.

05.

The cuvée we are offering in plans that include Champagne is the “R.019”. The “R” stands for the French word “Récolte” (harvest) and expresses the individuality of the grape harvest year. The style of expressing the vintage of the base wine, rather than the uniformity of the flavors, proves its sincerity to the gifts of nature that each year brings; the 2019 harvest is described by Cellar Master Dominique Demarville as “an exceptionally fine year. We invite you to enjoy a bottle of too much luxury made with haute couture.
