At CHARLES HEIDSIECK, the “time” devoted to aging is considered the “fourth variety.” Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the founder of CHARLES HEIDSIECK, focused most of his efforts on the part where high-quality cuvées are transformed into wonderful flavors through the changes brought about by aging. The site has been recognized for its historical and cultural value and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.

One of the characteristics of the company is that it contracts with the best producers in the Champagne region to source convincing wines from a wide range of sources. This is done by assembling a large number of crus to produce an artistic and consistent Champagne that is marketed year after year.

In 1858, the jazz song “Champagne Charlie” by George Raybourn was published and became popular, and in 1989, Hugh Grant, then 29 years old (the same age Charles Camille Edosick was when he founded the company), played the role in the film “Champagne Charlie” directed by Alan Eastman. The cuvée provided in the “Champagne Included Plan” is “Blanc des Millénaires 2007.” Blanc des Millénaires, CHARLES HEIDSIECK’s finest champagne, is an ultra-rare item even for champagne enthusiasts, with only seven vintages produced since its initial release in 1983: 1985, 1990, 1995, 2004, 2006, and this 2007. It is named “Millénaires,” meaning “thousand years” in French, due to its long-term aging in the “Crayères,” limestone cellars created 2000 years ago. Why not immerse yourself in his life, which has even been the subject of films?
