Taittinger is a family-owned house that has been owned by the Taittinger family since its establishment. While many of the major Champagne houses have been acquired by giant corporations one after another, the fact that Taittinger continues to be owned by the same family is truly a “miracle.

Located at the bottom of the hill of Saint Nicès in Reims with a history of over 1800 years, Clayères is 18 meters underground. Today, Taittinger ages its top cuvée, Comtes de Champagne, and other wines at this site. (The site is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List as “Champagne Hills, Houses and Caves”).
